Back to Blogging

After a break from blogging last year,  I'm back with lots of exciting new plans for the blog.  I'll be adding three new types of posts to the blog over the coming weeks.
On 'Wedding Cake Wednesday' I'll post wedding cakes I have been working on, as well as some tutorials and wedding cake trend posts. I'll start by catching you up with some of the wedding cake designs from last year that I haven't posted yet and a sugar sequin tutorial.

In 'Friday Favourites' I'll post my current favourite products and techniques along with some tutorials and reviews

On my 'Sugar Flower Sunday' posts I will show you in more detail some of the sugar flowers I have been working on, along with some tutorials and behind the scenes shots.

I'd love to hear from you if there is anything you would like to see on the blog and any requests for tutorials.

Nude pink wedding cake

A nude pink wedding cake featuring cake lace, petal ruffles and sugar flowers. I made the sugar flowers to tie in with the brides bouquet with quicksand roses, blush lisianthus and greenery including eucalyptus.  Here is the cake all set up at The Grange Hotel, Grange over sands.   I received such a lovely email from the happy couple with some very kind words!

Blue and silver wedding cake

A gorgeous blue and silver colour scheme was chosen for Megan and Rob's wedding at Low Wood Bay Resort and Spa.  I loved the pretty pale blue and white sugar flowers combined with the silver leaf and silver geometric details on their cake.
