I was asked by Cake Central Magazine to create a cake for their fashion issue based on this gorgeous Chanel couture gown. My cake is featured on a double page spread in the magazine. I wanted the design of this cake to reflect the romantic feel of the inspiration dress, incorporating the delicate branches and beautiful flowers as well as representing the fabric and frills of the dress. A nude pink wedding cake featuring cake lace, petal ruffles and sugar flowers. I made the sugar flowers to tie in with the brides bouquet with quicksand roses, blush lisianthus and greenery including eucalyptus. Here is the cake all set up at The Grange Hotel, Grange over sands. I received such a lovely email from the happy couple with some very kind words!
A gorgeous blue and silver colour scheme was chosen for Megan and Rob's wedding at Low Wood Bay Resort and Spa. I loved the pretty pale blue and white sugar flowers combined with the silver leaf and silver geometric details on their cake.
This is fabulous! I would love to make one in mini.....but that would take too long!
