Teacups, sugar flowers and pearls!

Birthday cake with piped pearls topped with a sugar teacup and saucer filled with sugar flowers. This cake was made to celebrate my Grans birthday. She loves to keep the sugar flowers that I make for her so I decided to make her a sugar teacup and saucer filled with flowers that she could add to her collection! The cake was a Lemon sponge with zesty lemon syrup, layered with lemon buttercream and lemon curd . A wedding cake with lace edged in gold, billowing satin, pearls and sugar flowers created for Samantha and Gregory's wedding at Storrs Hall Hotel.  A three tier wedding cake with lace detail, pink peonies and silver brunia berries. Created for Karla's wedding at Merewood Country House Hotel. Each guest was also treated to a white chocolate cake pop with pink and silver peony decorations. Super Cake Moms Collaboration

I was recently invited to take part in a   'SUPER CAKE MOMS COLLABORATION!' 49 cake artists from around the world came together to honor a very special group of people…MOTHERS!  Mums wear many hats: chef, hairstylist, chauffeur, wife, nutritionist, maid, wardrobe consultant, referee, gardener, nurse, entertainer, accountant, teacher…..all this and without receiving a paycheck! We wanted to celebrate our own Mums and Mothers across the world by creating beautiful floral cakes that are as diverse as each of our Mums. Each artist chose a flower and created a cake to showcase it. We hope you enjoy our collaboration because it was made with love.
